Day 2 - Willkommen im Land des L�chelns

Pünktlich auf die Minute landet der Flieger in Tokyo Narita....back to Asia again. Alles eigentlich sehr unspektakulär hier, nicht mal das Gepäck ist weggekommen, ein Flughafen wie jeder andere, bis auf die japanischen Schriftzeichen, die neonfarbenen (Essen-)Auslagen der Restaurants, die Bedienung im Coffeeshop die es schafft in jedem Satz 3x "Thank you" unterzubringen sowie den Umstand daß hier ne ganze Flughafenetage für Duschen reserviert ist......mit Exotik ist also noch ni soviel, aber der Flughafen steht wohl auch nicht für Japan.

Mein Weiterflug nach Sapporo geht erst in 5 Stunden, aber ich find das Gefühl, nicht alles auf den letzten Drücker zu machen, langsam ganz angenehm, also (nach ner kurzen Skype-session) das Terminal gewechselt und eingecheckt.

Hier gibts jetzt die ersten Komplikationen, aber nicht wie erwartet beim Gepäck (Snowboardbag ist dann doch bissl gross und schwer und für den Flug nicht angemeldet), sondern die (dauerlächelnde) Dame versucht mir zu erklären, dass wegen heftigen Schneefalls in Sapporo (grundsätzlich ja sehr begrüssenswert) möglicherweise in Hakodate (liegt auch auf Hokkaido) gelandet werden muss.

Soweit so gut, aber der letzte Halbsatz geht dann in die Richtung dass im "worst case" auch wieder Tokyo angeflogen wird. Ich hab ja nun nicht wirklich was gegen Schnee, aber darauf könnt ich heut verzichten. Zumal die Sprachbarriere zwischen uns dann irgendwann doch unüberwindlich wird, als ich wissen will wie es in dem Fall weitergeht. Naja, ich lass mich überraschen. Vielleicht wirds ja wieder eine gesponsorte Nacht im 5-Sterne-Hotel :-).....Während ich die Wartezeit mit in der Sonne rumdösen, Leute beobachten und Blog schreiben verbringe, plötzlich Aufregung, eine Menschenmenge die plötzlich heranwalzt, Geschrei, Blitzlichtgewitter, Kameras, Blitzlichtgewitter und mitten drin ein japanischer Sportler der wohl ne Berühmtheit ist. Leider können die Eingeweihten kein Englisch, und die Ausländer sind nicht eingeweiht.

Am Rande: die Frau am Security Check hat den gleichen "How to say thank you as often as possible" Kurs besucht.

7 Stunden später: Nix wars mit Hotel, wir sind planmässig in Sapporo gelandet auch wenn mir beim Blick auf die schneebedeckte Landebahn bissl anders wurde. Von hier gings dann mit dem Zug bis letztendlich nach Furano, mit diversen Umsteigepunkten mitten in der verschneiten Prärie....Nun ist mir auch klar warum mich das Fräulein von der Information in Sapporo ungläubig ansah und mich fragte warum ich nach Furano will. Der letzte Zug von Takikawa nach Furano bestand nur noch aus einem einzelnen Waggon. Okay, ganz so verlassen ists auch wieder nicht, aber mit anderen Resorts wie Niseko sicher nicht zu vergleichen. Auf jeden Fall liegt hier ordentlich viel Schnee, und die -10 Gradmarke wird auch locker geknackt. Sieht ein bißchen so aus wie man sich ein Alpendorf in einem richtigen Winter vorstellt.

Und mit diesen Worten verabschied ich mich ins Bett und freu mich auf den Powder morgen :-)
